Augmentative Communication Consultant
Alanna is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist and one of TechACCESS’s communication specialists. She graduated with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology at the University of the District of Columbia. She is passionate in assisting nonspeaking individuals access communication. Alanna is licensed in Rhode Island and Massachusetts by the Department of Health. She is also certified by the Rhode Island Department of Education. Alanna joined TechACCESS in June 2022.

Rebecca Jones, M.Ed
RIMAC/AEM Coordinator
Becky is the Accessible Educational Materials Coordinator for TechACCESS of RI. She has over 25 years of experience in teaching, primarily in special education. She enjoys finding creative ways to meet student’s learning needs. Becky has a Bachelor of Science from Rhode Island College in Elementary & Special Education and a Master’s of Ed. in Special Education. She is a former Fuse RI Fellow and has a passion for using personalized learning strategies to support all learners. Becky joined the TechACCESS Team in 2019.

Sanjana Karra, M.S., CCC-SLP
AAC Consultant | Speech Language Pathologist
Sanjana Karra is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist with a strong interest in neurodiversity affirming care and community education. She graduated with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Worcester State University. She has experience working within schools, clinics, and hospitals treating a wide range of ages and diagnoses with a focus on early language development and autism spectrum disorder. She is passionate about AAC, gestalt language processing, and working with individuals to develop self-advocacy skills. Sanjana is licensed in Massachusetts, Illinois, and Rhode Island by the Department of Health. Sanjana joined TechACCESS in January 2025.

Milo Heard
Administrative Assistant

Milo is an administrative assistant at TechACCESS of RI. He is a passionate supporter of disability justice and is excited to work somewhere committed to supporting the lives of people with disabilities. Milo recently graduated from University of Rhode Island with a joint degree in English Literature and Political Science. A lifetime lover of libraries, Milo is excited to work in support of TechACCESS’s assistive technology lending program and the Rhode Island Materials Access Center (RIMAC). Most recently they have spent three years working with students of all ages as a Camp Counselor and After School Support Staff; working in children’s services is a meaningful part of Milo’s life and he can’t wait to see the world become a more accommodating and inclusive place.
