NEWSLINE®


The National Federation for the Blind (NFB) NEWSLINE®, is a telephone service which reads newspapers to blind and visually impaired individuals. Users of this service can easily choose which newspaper, section, and article to read by dialing a toll-free number on a standard touch-tone phone. The NFB NEWSLINE® now provides dozens of newspapers such as USA Today, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, and the Wall Street Journal. Dozens of local papers are also available. Blind, visually impaired, and individuals with print disabilities become eligible for this free service by filling out a simple application. This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For more information or an application, contact NFB of RI at (401) 433-2606.
