Come and learn about assistive technology that is used to support students with communication needs. This workshop will discuss and demonstrate a variety of low and high tech tools and strategies that are used to support the communication and academic needs of nonverbal students or students with limited verbal abilities. We will also discuss the evaluation process, who qualifies for assistive technology services, and implementation and support strategies that can help to insure a student is successful with augmentative communication.
This workshop is also appropriate for teachers, therapists and other service providers supporting students who use AAC.
